Nobody wants to stay together if their relationship is not in good terms. There’s no peace of mind for couples who are not having a good relationships. The home becomes a haunted place, the husband goes home with a bad mode, or the wife goes home late and drunk or both. How do you feel when this occurrence is always happening in your home. No proper harmony within the family, the children are confused who to lean on, both parents are not concern the welfare of their children.

Think of it, couples who are not giving up from each others mistakes, would results to serious problems and may later on end up in divorce and the mostly affected are the children who are innocent in their teen years.

5 Ways How To Deal With an Abusive Relationship

1. Seek experts advice. If you’re partner is not treating you well and abusing you, the best you can do is to get the assistance of a psychiatrist or abusive relationship experts. You don’t need to be abused emotionally or even mentally. This would end you into depression, the thing that you wouldn’t like at the end.

2. Your will to decide. Think twice before you decide if you’re ready to get out from the chain of agony and maltreatment from your partner. If you think there’s no more hope for a better solution despite some remedy to save your relationship, then by all means, close the chapter of your marriage life.

3. Organize a support group. This group may either your family members or close friends who’ll understand your situation. Try to get their opinion, ask their support and analyze which opinion could help you solve your relationship with your partner. Summarizing all their suggestions, you could plan out the possible solution how to deal with your abusive relationship.

4. Talk to your partner. Try your best to talk to your partner during a solemn hours, say early in the morning before going out of bed, or invite him to have a date to your favorite place while you were still in your early stage of your relationship. Iron out what makes him becomes abusive to you lately, why he’s doing it to you. Listen to what he says, if it’s worth his explanation, weight it out, give him more time to explain.

5. Part ways is the last solution. If all the methods to save your relationship fails, the last recourse is to say goodbye to your partner. Let him or her understand that you’ve done all your best to save your good partnership, but you don’t want to prolong your agony and depression.

These are only a part of what I see is the methods by which you can deal with an abusive relationship. I know there are still some more ways but I only narrow it down to these methods which I believe are most important.

John D Loudermilk: The Journey From “Tobacco Road” to “Indian Reservation”

Of the many hits charted by Paul Revere & the Raiders, the biggest was 1971′s “Indian Reservation (The Lament of the Cherokee Reservation Indian).” It would be the only number one for the band, who’d scored huge hits like “Just Like Me,” “Kicks” and “Hungry.”

By contrast, the Nashville Teens was a one-hit wonder band that only made the Top 20 in 1964 with the hard-edged “Tobacco Road.” Despite its name, the group was a British Invasion band produced by Mickie Most, who honed the sound of the Animals’ and Herman’s Hermits’ string of hits.

The man behind both these tunes is John D. Loudermilk, a prolific singer-songwriter of the 1960s and 70s who wrote pop and country hits that included “Norman” (recorded by Sue Thompson), “Then You Can Tell Me Goodbye” (the Casinos) and Stonewall Jackson’s “Waterloo.”

Growing up in Durham, North Carolina in the 1930s and 40s provided the inspiration for Loudermilk’s two biggest hits. Loudermilk has said that Durham had a bad side of town that encouraged him to write a Southern poverty song in the tradition of one of his idols, blues man and protest singer Josh White.

Tobacco Road was the rough and tumble part of town where large wooden barrels of tobacco were rolled down to the river and loaded onto barges. The area attracted the type of rowdy element shunned by Durham’s upstanding citizens.

Originally recorded as a folk song by Loudermilk in 1959, “Tobacco Road” went nowhere. But other artists, from Lou Rawls to Edgar Winter to the Jefferson Airplane, caught on quickly and released their own versions. Best known is the Nashville Teens’ hard-hitting performance that featured two lead singers, Arthur Sharp and Ray Phillips. John Hawken played the driving piano and Led Zeppelin’s Jimmy Page, then a sought-after session musician, played guitar on the studio track.

Growing up, Loudermilk’s family was part of the Salvation Army church. Singing on the streets introduced the boy to performing; his mother’s missionary work with Cherokee Indians informed his 1959 song, “The Pale Faced Indian.”

The song tells the story of the “Trail of Tears”: the removal of the Cherokee Nation to reservations in what is now Oklahoma. An estimated four thousand Cherokee died on the thousand-mile forced journey over water and land in the 1830s.

“The Pale Faced Indian” was recorded in 1959 by Marvin Rainwater, a quarter-Cherokee who performed in American Indian garb. Retitled “Indian Reservation,” the song was recorded in 1970 by Don Fardon, a Brit who cracked the Top 20 on the Billboard charts.

In 1971, lead singer Mark Lindsay of the now-renamed Raiders considered the song as a solo release, but the group would record a version that relied on Fardon’s arrangement. “Indian Reservation” became Columbia Records’ biggest selling single at the time.

Talk to Your Partner

Many people are too scared to bring up questions about meeting the family to their partner. Yet, there are some questions that you should bring up to your partner before going to meet their family. After all, who is going to know his or her family any better than they do themselves?

Getting Personal

How much should you reveal about yourself when first meeting the family? This is a big question that many people wonder about and which can increase your anxiety tenfold.

You do want to treat your partner’s parents as if they were any other adults that you may meet for the first time. This means you should be respectful and appreciative and watch your language. In the best of all worlds, respect and appreciation will continue on for the rest of your relationship.

That said, you also want to get to know the family on a more intimate level if they seem to be open to that. If they are asking you a lot of personal questions, ask some in return about them. Give and take as much as they are willing, or back off if you sense some uneasiness about the direction of a conversation.

Being Yourself

It’s one thing to try to make a great impression, but another thing entirely to come off as someone you are not. Don’t put up an illusion that you are someone that you are not because eventually the real you is going to come shining out. Plus, your partner will be there and they love the real you!

The family will pick up on it if you are pretending or being phoney, so just try to relax and be yourself. If you are shy at first, that’s fine. Just try to open up some and get past the nervousness so you can be yourself.

Meeting the family is a big step and a sign that your partner cares for you in a more serious manner. That alone will speak on your behalf to the family, so relax!

After Divorce: Ways to Rediscover Your True Passion

1. Treasure your inner gifts.

It’s hard for many women to recognize the gold nuggets hiding within themselves. How about you? Perhaps you have forgotten your unique gifts and have instead fallen into the habit of concentrating on those things you don’t like about yourself or your life. So why not start today to list your admirable qualities? Then read your list every day.

Examples might include: a kind and generous spirit, a nice smile, intelligence, being loving and caring, and so on. Your list is endless, I assure you. In addition, make a list of the notable accomplishments you have achieved in life, such as, for example, raising a family or learning an occupation.

2. Take time out for yourself.

A common feeling after divorce is one of grief, as if you have lost a part of your life. You may feel the need to keep busy during this difficult period, by doing such household chores as housecleaning or by working overtime. Being productive is good, although it can be overdone.

In addition, you should take some time to pamper yourself. Take that bubble bath you never thought you had time for. Have a cup of hot tea or go to the mall or curl up with a good book. Go for a walk in the park, listening to your favorite music, on a crisp autumn day. You deserve to do something nice for yourself. Remember that the happier you are, the happier those around you will be.

3. No regrets

Holding onto past bitterness will only keep you from moving forward. Stifle that inner voice if it is feeding you regrets. Eliminate the “what ifs” and “if onlys.” Ask yourself if your thoughts are helping you feel better or serving you in any way. Will rehashing the past solve anything?

A quote attributed to Buddy Hackett is, “I never hold a grudge, because while I am being angry, the other person is out dancing.” Yes, you should acknowledge your feelings and learn from your experiences, but then you should move on to the next exciting chapter of your life. There is life after divorce!

4. Get help

Life after divorce often means added responsibilities. And if you have children in your care and are in charge of a once shared to-do list, it is easy to get totally stressed out. Try to find people to help you with your responsibilities. Don’t rush to find another life partner just yet. If you feel hurried to get married again, you could make a mistake. Instead, barter with friends and coworkers to trade responsibilities. Get help from family members.

Also, limit your responsibilities. Ever had this experience? You are asked to volunteer for something or you are on a committee and you say “yes” to something, even though it will make your tight schedule even tighter. You really don’t want to do it.

How to avoid this? A good practice is to become known as one who always has to check a schedule or calendar before agreeing to something. Thank the person for the offer but let him know you will have to check your calendar before making a decision. This will give you extra time to think about it, but don’t put it off! Do, however, ask for a day or two, if possible. If after that time you are still feeling doubtful, the request may not be right for you.

Eminem: A Social Commentator

In an interview given to Musik Magazine in 2000, Eminem comments some of his lyrics:

‘Please Lord, this boy needs Jesus/Help this child, help him destroy these demons/Please send me a brand new car and a prostitute while my wife is sick in the hospital’. What I’m trying to say is we’ve got all these preachers going ‘Jesus, Jesus! And then they’re molesting kids. I’m taking stabs at crooked muthafuckers in the system. (Eminem)

Believe it or not, but Eminem feels concern for kids. He is a denonciator of our society’s hypocrisy. Some people don’t like it when the truth gets exposed like this. But in the end only truth matters. Eminem’s words will shock you, stab you, pull away your old fashioned way of thinking : he is a commentator of our society’s deseases and should be taken seriously, because he does his job very well. Between his funny and dark humored lines, Eminem has something serious to say. The theme of the perverted priest also appears in the « Role Model » video where you can see the priest caressing a young boy’s knee.

Parents, you should be more worried for your kids being abused by priest than by Eminem’s so called « bad influence ». Eminem won’t rape your kids…

How many paedophiles priests have tried to abuse young children? How many scandals involving young kids the Vatican has been confronted to? How many scandals the Vatican is currently trying to hide?

I’ve been confronted to Christian fanatics from different tendencies and I noticed that they all has something in common. While considering themselves as “saints” and calling people who didn’t belong to their organizations “sinners”, they were in fact perfect hypocrits. They were playing two different roles and were acting like two different persons whether they were at Church of at home. At Chuch, they were trying to hide their own dirty behavior. At home, they were swearing, disrespecting their wifes and children, hiding some dirty magazines and tapes. And of course, they considered themselves as “saved by Jesus” while other people were (you guessed it) lost.

What an hypocritical behavior!

Eminem fights against such hypocrisy. He describes things the way they are. He also expressed against Bill Clinton’s hypocrisy:

« When someone says kids look up to me, I’m like ‘Our president smokes weed and is getting his dick sucked and is fucking lying about it. So don’t tell me shit. I’m not the fucking president. I’m a rapper and I don’t want to be a role model’. I’ll tell a kid, ‘Look up to me as someone who’s come from nothing and now has everything. Don’t look up to me for being violent and doing drugs. Don’t be like me.’ »

Eminem’s got a clear message for kids (and also for adults). Look at things the way they are. Don’t try to escape from reality. Look at it in its entire uglyness and try to learn a lesson from it.

To the kids, he clearly wants to say that he’s not their role model, but that they can learn from his story. Eminem encourages a lot of kids who come from poor social classes. He has shown the that they can « make it » if they are determined to.

He is not the fool some parents want to make of him. He never encourages them to be violent nor to take drugs.

A scooter is a small motorcycle and by small we refer to its size and its capacity.
